Tiruvannamalai Girivalam: Special Train from Villupuram on September 26

Southern Railway will operate a special unreserved train between Villupuram and Tiruvannamalai on September 26, 2026, in view of the full moon Girivalam at the Arunachaleswarar Temple in Tiruvannamalai.

A large number of devotees are expected to visit Tiruvannamalai for the full moon Girivalam. The special train has been arranged to accommodate passengers and help manage the expected rush.

Villupuram to Tiruvannamalai Special Train

The Villupuram–Tiruvannamalai unreserved special train (Train No. 06130) will depart from Villupuram at 10:10 AM on September 26 and reach Tiruvannamalai at 11:45 AM.

Tiruvannamalai to Villupuram Special Train

On the return journey, the Tiruvannamalai–Villupuram unreserved special train (Train No. 06129) will leave Tiruvannamalai at 12:40 PM and arrive at Villupuram at 2:15 PM on the same day.

Special Train Stops

The special trains will stop at the following stations:

- Venkatesapuram

- Mambalapattu

- Ayanthur

- Tirukkovilur

- Adichanur

- Andampallam

- Thandarai

The special train will consist of 8 coaches, according to the Southern Railway announcement.
