TNTET 2026: TRB Issues Exam Guidelines for July 4 & 5 Teacher Eligibility Test

The Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) has released detailed guidelines for the Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TNTET) 2026, which will be conducted on July 4 (Paper I) and July 5 (Paper II) for in-service teachers across the state.

Candidates must report to their examination centres by 8:30 AM, as entry gates will close at 9:30 AM. Only the hall ticket, a valid photo ID, and two black ballpoint pens will be allowed inside the examination hall. Mobile phones, smart watches, calculators, and all other electronic devices are strictly prohibited.

To ensure a fair examination, TRB has introduced strict security measures, including CCTV surveillance, double-lock storage for question papers, police protection, and secure transportation of confidential materials. Special arrangements, such as ground-floor seating, scribes, and an additional one hour, have also been made for eligible Persons with Disabilities (PwD).

Candidates are advised to carefully follow all TRB instructions and reach the examination centre well before the reporting time to avoid any last-minute inconvenience.
