72 Special Veterinary Health Camps to Be Held in Tiruttani Region

The Tamil Nadu Animal Husbandry Department will conduct 72 special veterinary health and awareness camps across four unions in the Tiruttani revenue division to provide medical care and other veterinary services to farmers` livestock.

The camps will be held in Tiruttani, R.K. Pet, Pallipattu and Tiruvallurangadu unions from September 2026 to February 2027. A total of 18 camps will be conducted in each union, with 12 camps planned every month for six months.

Farmers will receive several services, including vaccination, veterinary treatment, pregnancy testing, infertility treatment, deworming and distribution of mineral supplements.

The camps will also provide vaccination for poultry, prizes for selected heifer calves and technical guidance to farmers on livestock management and animal husbandry practices.

According to S. Dhamodaran, Assistant Director in-charge of the Animal Husbandry Department, all 72 special veterinary health and awareness camps will be completed within the six-month period.

The special veterinary health camp programme was recently launched at Keelnallathur by District Collector Kavitha. Following this, camps will be conducted across all four unions from September onwards.
