Survey regarding the presence of safety features in the school and college buses has started now in TN!!
Many students depend on school buses to go to their schools in TN. Therefore, the buses must have adequate safety measures to protect the students from accidents etc.
In this regard, a survey work was started in TN to check the safety features in the school buses. It was brought to light by transport commissionerate officials that if the vehicles were defective then FC would not be issued. Information is that the school and college buses would be inspected annually to see if they were in good condition.
It is now said that various officials belonging to the transport dept, education dept and traffic police would personally inspect the school vehicles. Those vehicles with safety defects would not be allowed to operate.
It is noteworthy that this year a survey of school and college buses for safety features has been introduced in Tamil Nadu. In Meenambakkam and in Anna Nagar, school and college vehicles belonging to various RTOs are being inspected.
The TN public transport commissionerate officials have mentioned that more than 34900 vehicles are being operated by various schools and colleges across TN. In the presence of all district revenue officers, education officers and traffic police etc, work on inspecting the vehicles has started.
It is learnt that the functioning of emergency doors, fire extinguishers plus first aid kits, hand brakes and speed control devices etc in the school and college buses are being inspected.
Before the reopening of schools and colleges in TN and after the completion of the summer vacations, all buses belonging to schools and colleges must be inspected. Point is that if there were any defects in the buses then FC would not be issued. The vehicles would be given permission again to operate only when the defects are corrected.
