Chennai Central Railway Station Ranks 3rd in Revenue Generation

The Central Government is developing modern infrastructure in the railway sector through various long term projects. As a result, the operation of trains is also increasing.

In the last financial year, Chennai Central ranked third among the top 10 railway stations in the country in terms of passenger revenue.

Delhi Railway Station topped the list with revenue of ₹3,337 crore. Howrah Railway Station in West Bengal ranked second with revenue of ₹1,692 crore. Chennai Central Railway Station ranked third, earning revenue of ₹1,299 crore.
