CM Vijay Inaugurates ₹139 Crore Healthcare Infrastructure, Launches 'Nalam TN' Portal and AI WhatsApp Service

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay inaugurated healthcare infrastructure projects worth ₹139 crore at a function organised by the Health and Family Welfare Department at Presidency College, Chennai, on Tuesday.

The newly inaugurated facilities include medical buildings constructed for Government Medical College Hospitals, Government Hospitals, and Primary Health Centres across the State. The projects are expected to strengthen Tamil Nadu`s public healthcare infrastructure and improve access to quality medical services.

During the event, the Chief Minister also distributed appointment orders to 2,144 healthcare personnel selected through the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC). The recruits include 751 Assistant Medical Officers and 1,393 Health Inspectors, who will serve in various government healthcare institutions across Tamil Nadu.

To enhance digital healthcare services, CM Vijay launched the `Nalam TN` integrated online portal and the `Nalam AI` WhatsApp service. The new digital platforms are designed to provide citizens with access to a wide range of healthcare services through a single interface.

The government also announced that the Nalam TN portal will enable individuals, corporate organisations, and other donors to contribute directly to government hospitals, making the donation process simpler and more transparent while supporting the improvement of public healthcare facilities across the State.
