Kundrathur Panchayat Union, in association with India Turns Pink, organised a Breast Cancer Awareness Programme, featuring a Walk and Signature Campaign at the Block Development Office, Padappai, as part of its ongoing efforts to promote early detection and preventive healthcare among women.

The event was graced by Tmt. Kalaiselvi Mohan, I.A.S., District Collector of Kanchipuram, as the Chief Guest, along with Mr. P.A. Ananda Kumar, Founder and President of India Turns Pink, and Ms. Ksheer Vasudha Kumar, Director of Navin’s, as the Guests of Honour.

The event was graced by Tmt. Kalaiselvi Mohan, I.A.S., District Collector of Kanchipuram, as the Chief Guest.  Speaking at the event, she highlighted, “Technology has advanced in many ways. Earlier, cancer detection tests were difficult and time-consuming, but today, with modern diagnostic tools, early identification has become much easier. Detecting cancer at Stage 1 or Stage 2 makes it completely preventable. I urge everyone to make the most of initiatives like these.”

Ms. Ksheer Vasudha Kumar, Director of Navin’s Housing, attended as the Guest of Honour.
Sharing her thoughts, she said,“In today’s generation, early screening for breast cancer should be treated as normal and essential health practice. The more we talk about it, the more awareness we create. Spreading awareness is the first step towards empowering women to prioritize their health. Initiatives like these by India Turns Pink create real change and inspire every woman.”

The initiative witnessed participation from over 500 individuals, including community members, officials, and volunteers, uniting in support of the cause of early detection and women’s health.
