The Chennai Corporation has passed a resolution stating that a fine of Rs. 5,000 will be imposed on pet owners, including those with dogs, who fail to obtain a valid license for their pets.
Additionally, the corporation announced that owners who take their pets out without a collar will face a fine of Rs. 500. It also emphasized that pet owners must not allow their pets to defecate in public places.
These measures aim to promote responsible pet ownership and maintain cleanliness in the city.
