Renovated Victoria Public Hall Opens to Public in Chennai
Chennai’s iconic Victoria Public Hall, which has recently undergone extensive renovation, has been opened to the public for visits starting today, December 26. Members of the public can visit the historic landmark daily from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
According to the Chennai Corporation, entry to the hall is free of cost. However, visitors are required to make a prior reservation through the official Chennai Corporation website to regulate crowd movement and ensure a smooth visiting experience.
In addition to public visits, the Corporation has also announced that the renovated hall will be available for hosting cultural programs, meetings, and other events. Organisers who wish to conduct events at the Victoria Public Hall must complete the necessary registration process online through the Corporation’s website.
The reopening of the Victoria Public Hall marks an important step in preserving Chennai’s heritage buildings while making them accessible for public use and cultural activities.
