Pharmacies/medical shops to remain on strike on 28th September
The central government has proposed to a new law to facilitate the online purchase of medicines and tablets. The owners of the pharmacies and medical shops have protested strongly against this proposal claiming that their trade would be hugely adversely affected by this proposal.
With a demand that the central government should withdraw this proposal immediately, the traders have decided to observe a 1-day strike on 28th September closing all the pharmacies and medical shops throughout the country. It is gathered that pharmacies in Tamil Nadu also would be closed on this day.
