Tuticorin–Narsapur Special Train via Madurai: Check Dates, Route and Timings

The Southern Railway has announced a weekly special train between Tuticorin (Thoothukudi) and Narsapur in Andhra Pradesh, operating via Madurai and Chennai.

The special train will run on Sundays from September 7, 14, 21 and 28. Train No. 06019 will depart from Tuticorin at 11:30 PM and reach Narsapur at 12:20 PM on the following day.

In the return direction, Train No. 06020 will depart from Narsapur at 4:00 AM on Wednesdays on September 9, 16, 23 and 30, reaching Tuticorin at 4:30 AM the next day.

The train will pass through several important stations, including Tuticorin Melur, Kovilpatti, Sattur, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Kodaikanal Road, Dindigul, Tiruchirappalli, Thanjavur, Kumbakonam, Mayiladuthurai, Chidambaram, Tiruppadiripuliyur, Villupuram, Chengalpattu, Tambaram, Chennai Egmore, Nellore and Vijayawada.

Train Coaches and Booking

The special train will have one AC two-tier coach, two AC three-tier coaches, eight sleeper coaches, four general coaches, one coach for differently abled passengers and two luggage/brake vans.

Advance reservation for the special train starts at 8 AM today. Passengers planning to travel between southern Tamil Nadu, Chennai and Andhra Pradesh can check the train schedule and seat availability before booking.
