Tamil Nadu Rain Alert: Heavy Rain Expected in Chengalpattu, Villupuram and Cuddalore

A weak low-level atmospheric circulation is prevailing over the coastal areas of Tamil Nadu. Due to this weather system, several districts are expected to receive rain accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds today.

According to the Chennai Meteorological Centre, heavy rain is likely at one or two places in Chengalpattu, Villupuram and Cuddalore districts, as well as in Puducherry.

Moderate Rain Expected in Several Districts

The weather department has also forecast moderate rain with thunderstorms and strong winds at one or two places in the following districts:

- Tiruvallur
- Chennai
- Tiruvannamalai
- Perambalur
- Ariyalur
- Mayiladuthurai
- Pudukkottai
- Sivaganga
- Madurai
- Dindigul
- Theni
- Salem
- Erode
- Namakkal
- Tiruchirappalli

Light rain accompanied by thunderstorms is also possible at a few places in other parts of Tamil Nadu and Karaikal.
