CMRL Recruitment 2026: Last Date to Apply Today for 9 Senior-Level Posts

Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) has invited online applications from qualified and experienced professionals to fill nine senior-level positions on regular, contract, and deputation basis. Today (July 20, 2026) is the last date to submit online applications.

The recruitment drive includes leadership roles in Operations, Rolling Stock, Electrical Systems, Architecture, Finance & Accounts, and Automatic Fare Collection (AFC).

Regular Posts

CMRL has announced the following vacancies on a regular basis:

General Manager (Operations) – 1 post

 - Pay Scale: ₹1.20 lakh – ₹2.80 lakh

 - Maximum Age: 55 years

Deputy General Manager (Rolling Stock) – 2 posts

Deputy General Manager (Automatic Fare Collection) – 1 post

Manager (Automatic Fare Collection) – 1 post

Candidates must possess a BE/BTech degree in Electrical Engineering (EE), Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Information Technology (IT), Computer Science Engineering (CSE), or an equivalent combination of these disciplines. The upper age limit for these positions ranges between 38 and 40 years, depending on the post.

Contract / Deputation Posts

CMRL is also recruiting for the following positions on a contract or deputation basis:

- Chief General Manager / General Manager (Electrical Systems)

- Chief General Manager / General Manager (Rolling Stock)

- Joint General Manager (Architect)

- Deputy General Manager (Finance & Accounts)

- Manager (Architect) – 2 posts

The monthly salary ranges from ₹85,000 for Manager-level positions to ₹2.70 lakh for Chief General Manager-level positions.

The required educational qualifications include BE/BTech in Electrical Engineering or ECE, Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch), and UG/PG with CA/CMA qualifications for Finance & Accounts positions. The maximum age limit varies from 38 to 55 years, depending on the role.
