HED new decision to form a course review committee for sake of job opportunities for graduates
After completing undergraduate or UG courses in arts and science, the students find it difficult to get job opportunities. To overcome this issue, the Higher Education Dept has decided to constitute a course review committee to recommend new courses for the govt based arts and sciences colleges in TN.
In 2024-25 academic year 2 new job oriented courses namely BCA computer application and BCA computer science were started in the govt arts and sciences college in Ottanchathiram. This was as per a senior office from the HED. He threw light about the 3 new job oriented courses like Mcom, Msc maths and MSC computer science courses that were started at the arts and sciences college in Perumbakkam.
Point is that many arts and sciences colleges have already started courses in computer science and data science etc. New fields like AI have been given huge importance.
