Chennai Metro Rail Announces Altered Schedule on December 4th, 2023, in Light of Cyclone Michaung Public Holiday

In response to the Tamil Nadu Government`s declaration of a public holiday on December 4, 2023, due to the impending Cyclone Michaung, the Chennai Metro Rail has revised its service schedule to accommodate passenger needs during this period.
Metro trains will be operational from 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM as per the regular schedule. However, the Metro authorities have implemented specific frequency adjustments to ensure efficient and safe travel for commuters.
Peak Hours (8:00 AM - 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM): Trains will be available every 6 minutes, facilitating smoother travel during these busy periods.
Off-Peak Hours (5:00 AM - 8:00 AM, 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM, and 8:00 PM - 10:00 PM): Trains will run at a frequency of every 7 minutes, maintaining a steady flow of services throughout the day.
Late Night (10:00 PM - 11:00 PM): During the late-night hours, trains will be available every 15 minutes, ensuring accessibility for passengers during this time.
