Prospects for rains for 2 hours in the morning in 11 Districts in Tamil Nadu including Chennai!

The Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has informed that there are prospects for rains for 2 hours in 11 districts in Tamil Nadu including Chennai.
A cyclonic format is prevailing over the lower levels of the atmosphere over the coastal regions in Tamil Nadu and the adjacent southwest Bay of Bengal. At present, this cyclonic format is situated over the Tamil Nadu State Ocean region.
Due to this, there have been widespread medium rains in southern Tamil Nadu and a few places in northern Tamil Nadu.
In this situation, the Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has announced that there would be rains for 2 hours (from 8.00 AM to 10.00 AM) with lightning and thunder in the 12 districts of Tamil Nadu – Chennai, Thiruvallur, Chengalpattu, Kanchipuram, Mayiladuthurai, Cuddalore, Nagappattinam, Thanjavur, Thiruvarur, Pudhukkottai, and Ramanathapuram – and Pudhuchery and Karaikkal.
