Heavy Rainfall Predicted in Tamil Nadu Until November 8; Valparai Receives 13 cm of Rain

The Meteorological Department has forecasted ongoing heavy rainfall in Tamil Nadu until November 8. The Northeast Monsoon`s intensified presence has brought widespread rainfall to the region, with a particular focus on suburban areas, surpassing the amount received in Chennai city.
Over the 24-hour period leading up to yesterday morning, most districts of Tamil Nadu experienced moderate to heavy rainfall. The inclement weather is anticipated to persist in the coming days.
In a press release from the Director of the Chennai Meteorological Center, P. Senthamaraikannan, it was stated that light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, is expected across most areas from November 6 to 10. Furthermore, a few places may experience this weather phenomenon on November 11. This weather pattern is attributed to an upper atmospheric circulation that extends over Northeast and adjoining areas, impacting Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
