An Important announcement for vehicle drivers: traffic changes extended in Chennai for 2 more years!

The Chennai Metro Rail Project Phase-2 is progressing rapidly at different locations in Chennai. As such, it was planned to carry out certain traffic changes and the changes were effective from 1st February on a trial basis for 1 week!
This trial run was a great success! So, a decision has been taken TO EXTEND THESE TRAFFIC CHANGES FOR ANOTHER 2 YEARS!
As per this, at the Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Devar, at the G K Mooppanar Over-bridge signal, the vehicles can proceed towards T T K Road as usual.
However, the vehicles are banned from moving towards the G K Mooppanar over-bridge signal from the T T K Road junction.
Traffic changes have been made at Adyar Boat Club Gate Road and the 1st Avenue Boat Club Road has been converted as 1-way traffic!
These vehicles can proceed from the Adyar Gates Club Road towards Kotturpuram Over-bridge.
At the same time, vehicles are banned from moving from G K Mooppanar Over-bridge towards Turnbulkls Expansion.
It has been announced that the vehicles can proceed from Mooppanar Over-bridge Signal towards Chhamier`s Road.
