Announcement of important decisions by Anna University now!!

Anna University or AU in Chennai has announced a few important plans that would be implemented from the coming academic year onwards.
It is now said that from the coming academic year onwards, AU is planning to officially enroll students studying in the engineering colleges with less number of students, less infrastructure, fewer professors etc in other engineering colleges. It is worth mentioning here that in the last year counselling for the engineering seats not a single student was admitted in 9 engineering colleges, less than 25% of students were admitted in 88 engineering colleges, 50% of students in 177 engineering colleges across TN.
Now, to improve the quality of engineering studies, AU has taken some important decisions from the coming academic year.
- A decision has been taken by AU regarding inspecting only those engineering colleges that have low student strength in person.
- A decision has been taken by AU regarding not to give recognition to the engineering colleges that do not have adequate number of professors and infrastructural facilities etc.
- A decision has been taken by AU regarding not going and inspecting those engineering colleges that have been performing well.
- A decision has been taken by AU regarding introducing a new mechanism for granting AU recognition to the engineering colleges across TN.
