The Director of the College Education Board, Eswaramurthy, has ordered that all the Arts & Science Colleges in the State of Tamil Nadu MUST ENSURE TEACHING THE SYLLABUS PRESCRIBED FOR THE VARIOUS SUBJECTS FOR THE FIRST YEAR STUDENTS BEFORE 1ST MAY 2023!
There are 163 Government colleges for Arts & Science in Tamil Nadu functioning under the Directorate of College Education. There are more than 1.3 Lakhs seats available for pursuing graduate courses in Arts & Science. The admission of the students for these courses commenced in August 2022 and concluded by November 2023.
As such, there was an inordinate delay in commencing classes for the first-year students.
As per the above situation, presently the Director for the College Education Board of the State Government of Tamil Nadu, Eswaramurthy, has ordered all the Arts & Science Colleges that they MUST ENSURE completion of teaching as per the prescribed syllabus for the First Year Students of various faculties in Arts & Sciences!
In a circular sent by the Director of the College Education Board of the State Government of Tamil Nadu, it is mentioned:
The admission for the various graduate Arts & Science Courses for the current academic year concluded on 19th November 2022! As such, there arose a situation whereby it was rendered difficult to complete teaching as per the entire syllabus for the first-year students of Arts & Science Courses.
As such, the entire syllabus for the first-year Arts and Science Graduate students MUST be completed before 1st May! Ensure taking all necessary steps to complete this!
For this purpose, classes can be conducted on all Saturdays! If required, additional classes can be conducted on the given working day!
