Whats special this time regarding the 74th Republic Day celebrations?

Ever since the constitution came into force in India, Republic Day or RD has been celebrated on 26th of January every year.
The Indian President Draupadi Murmu would hoist the Indian National Flag today at a ceremony that would be held at 10:30 am on the Delhi Duty Route. Since taking over as the Indian president, this would be the first time that she would be participating in the Republic Day celebrations. The function would also have other important personalities like Indian Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, union ministers, political party leaders etc.
One special person who would be taking part in the Republic Day celebrations would be the Egypt President ,Mr. Abdel Fattah El Sisi. It is learnt that on the completion of 75 years of diplomatic relations between India and Egypt the president of Egypt would be attending the celebrations today for the very first time.
A procession or parade 0would take place from Vijay Chowk area to Red Fort through Duty Lane. The procession would have Army, Navy and Air Force taking part. The RD parade would have 120 soldiers from Egypt participating. Security forces would be making their presence felt today by doing some spectacular activities.
There would be a decorated car parade today on behalf of 17 states including TN and 6 ministries etc also. To showcase the women achievers from TN, the car from TN state govt has been designed. More than 7000 police personnel as well as paramilitary personnel would be busy today in Delhi to provide total security.
For those who would come to witness the RD parade today, QR code based invitations have been issued. At the state level functions today, the Governors of the respective states would hoist the National flags.
In Chennai, the RD celebrations would take place near the Labourer`s Statue on the Kamarajar Salai and not in front of the Gandhi Statue. This would be due to the metro rail works.It is known to us that normally RD celebrations would take place in front of Gandhi Statue on the Kamnarajar Salai in Chennai. At 8am the Tamil Nadu Governor would hoist the National Flag.
