At its Porur hospital in Chennai, on Friday Dr Agarwal`s Eye Hospital launched an advanced non-invasive retinal imaging technology or AngioPlex OCT Angiography or OCTA. The Chennai Mayor R. Priya inaugurated this facility and grabbed the attention of many. Till 31st of January, free consultations would be provided to the patients and this would be as a part of inaugural celebrations.
In Porur hospital, effective detection of eye diseases and abnormalities, the state of art technology would produce high resolution, 3D angiograms of retinal and choroidal vascular networks. The usage of dyes in diagnosing eye disease would be eliminated by the OCTA.
Ocular allergic reactions could be easily avoided in the patients plus those with cardiovascular and kidney issues, those with uncontrolled diabetes etc would be able to undergo OCTA safely.
