Exorbitant hike in diesel prices

Indian government is into a keen thought of increasing diesel prices by two to three rupees. This is because of the unexpected downfall of rupee value. However, people can stay relaxed, because there is going to be no hike in LPG or kerosene prices.
The cabinet approval is awaited right now. According to a top oil ministry official, this hike is in no way related to politics.
