Thirukkarthigai Deepa: Time of lighting Maha Deepam and procedure!

This year`s (2022) occasion of the Thirukkarthigai Deepam Festival falls on 6th December (Tuesday, today)!
Further, at the Thiruvannamalai Lord Arunchaleswarar temple, Darshan of Panchamurthys (5 deities Lords and their consorts) will be in progress after 5.30 PM!
The first deity will be Lord Vinayaka, the next Lord Muruga, and then the third, Lord Annamalaiyar, then His Consort Goddess Unnamulaiamman, and finally, the fifth, the deity of Lord Arthanaareeswarar in dancing pose WILL ALL OFFER DARSHAN TO LAKHS OF DEVOTEES!
Immediately after the Darshan for a short while, the deity of Lord Arthanaareeswarar will return to the main temple! After His Darshan flags will be waved!
After this Darshan, at exactly 6.00 PM, Maha Deepam will be lit on the top of the mountain!
The sacred Tamil Calendar month of Karthigai is a month which removes sorrows and brings in wealth!
After having the Darshan of the Maha Deepam lit on the top of the mountain, individual Deepams MUST be lit on the top of the terraces of the individual houses!
As per tradition, a minimum of 27 Deepams MUST be lit for 3 days in the residential houses of citizens/devotees! These Deepams must be kept in the house entrance, sub-entrance and the Pooja Room of the house, the bedroom and the kitchen! Deepams MUST be Kept in all parts of the house to the extent possible!
