Date announced for the inauguration of MLCP at Chennai airport!!

The long wait is now over!!
On 4th December 2022, the multi level car parking or MLCP would be inaugurated after a long delay at the Chennai International airport. It is now said that this MLCP would be a huge boost for the airport which has multi modal connectivity. It is superb to note that Chennai airport would be the first in the entire India to have road, rail and metro train connections.
Important details about MLCP:
This MLCP has been constructed on the existing airport parking lot with 2.5lakh sq ft built up area and there would be enough space to park as many as 2150 cars at a time.The traffic congestion would not be there at the terminal arrival and pick up zones. It is noteworthy that the east MLCP would accommodate 750 plus cars and the west MLCP would accommodate 1400 plus cars. There would also be enough space for two wheelers too.
There would be mechanised parking slots, electric vehicle or EV charging stations plus other facilities like multiplexes, food courts, retail shops, kids zones and restaurants etc present in the six storeyed building here. It is now revealed that for the EV slots pre booking could be done and make the payments on the app.
