Good news about the new hostels for the students in the universities in TN!!

The infrastructure of the hostels that are attached to the TN state run universities would become better in the future as TN government has taken a decision regarding this after receiving many complaints. Moreover, new hostel buildings would also be constructed at a cost of more thanRs 150 crores.
The new admissions have become more and due to that new hostel would be built at the University of Madras or MU for an amount of Rs 30 crores. This was mentioned by a senior official belonging to the Higher Education Dept. He explained that a new girls hostel would be set up in Anna University in Guindy in an area of 13075 sqm as the TN govt has allotted an amount of Rs 49.32 crores. At an amount of Rs 10 crores, a new girls hostel would be constructed in Bharathidasan University campus and the existing hostel would be renovated.
At the Bharathiar University campus, the construction of 2 hostels for research scholars and PG students would be taken up as soon as possible as the number of new admissions have increased.
For an amount of Rs 19.5 crores, a new hostel for the research scholars and for the students would be constructed at the Alagappa University.
