Alert Chennaites!! Traffic diversion near KMC in Chennai!!

An Important piece of information for the residents of Chennai!!
To help the Highways Department in the construction of the culvert work on EVR Salai - Barnaby Road junction near KMC Hospital in Chennai, the Greater Chennai Traffic police have announced diversion of the vehicular traffic. It is now said that there would be traffic diversion from 10pm on Saturday to 5am on Monday.
The traffic arrangements have been made by the traffic police now. It must be noted that there would be no diversion of vehicles coming from Ega Junction towards Chennai Central on the EVR Salai. Point is that vehicles coming from Central on EVR Salai would not be allowed to move straight to Gengu Reddy subway junction to Ega Junction. At the Gengu Reddy subway junction on EVR Salai, the vehicles would be diverted towards Mayor Ramanathan Salai east via Casa Major Road junction, Chetpet Junction, McNichols Road and Guruswamy Bridge.
