New superb reforms to be brought in the libraries in TN

Reading books in the libraries would help in the growth and development of the students!!
The reading habits of the students have gone down now. The government of TN would be bringing new reforms in the libraries in the state. This would be to improve the reading habits of the students. An amount of Rs 287 crores has been allotted for this purpose for this year.
It was mentioned by a senior officer belonging to the school education department that these reforms include digitising and preserving old and rare books, providing libraries in the villages with a population of more than 1000, to provide high quality reading materials and periodicals etc in the libraries and introduce modern technology in the libraries to improve the services and create new libraries with latest technology.
He threw light on how TN was the first ever state in India to enact an act for public library services.
