Know this latest GO regarding schools in TN

For establishing 28 schools of excellence in TN, the school education department has now issued a government order or GO. These schools of excellence would be functioning from this academic year onwards.
It must be noted that the existing schools would be transformed into the schools of excellence. Previously, the CM of TN Mr. M.K. Stalin had announced that in the state Assembly is known.
Information is that in Ashok Nagar in Chennai the Government Girls Higher Secondary School would be transferred into school of excellence. A list regarding this has now come out from the school education department.
In future, these schools that have been identified to be transformed into schools of excellence would have smart classrooms, computer labs, arts and crafts room STEM labs etc.,
It is now revealed that funds would be set aside for these schools for forming clubs, hosting events like annual day and sports day and teacher training programmes etc,
For upgrading and administering 28 schools of excellence in TN, an amount of Rs 171 crores would be needed and for that the Commissioner of School Education has detailed a proposal. It is important to mention that the project proposal of Rs 68 crores has been submitted to NABARD for sanctioning of funds.
