TOLL CHARGES AND COURIER SERVICE CHARGES UP FROM THE FIRST OF SEPTEMBER!!

More than 120 courier service organizations are functioning in all the major cities of Tamil Nadu State.
An increase in the toll gate charges will be implemented from 1st September! To counter these extra expenses incurred on tollgates, the courier service providers have increased the courier charges for parcels, etc. From day-before-yesterday (28th August).
The charges for a 10 kg parcel for a 400 km distance was Rs. 170/-. For up to 600 km, it was Rs. 170/-. has been increased to Rs. 170/- and Rs. 200/- respectively!
For parcels above the 10 kg weight, up to 100 kg, it has been increased to Rs. 50 – Rs. 150/- and for up to 1 Ton weight, the charges raised from Rs. 300/- based on distance, up to Rs. 800/-!
Courier organizations have increased the charges – by Rs. 10 for local covers, Rs. 15/- for outstation parcels, and by Rs. 30/- for parcels to other states. The rates have been revised based on the weight!
