Greater Chennai Corporation: Pay the Professional Tax for the First Half of financial year 2022-2023!!

As per the Chennai Corporation Municipal Act 1919 and the sub Act 138C, the industrial / manufacturing organizations have to deduct Professional Tax from their employees in August and submit the same with all details
Failure to do this will entail payment of penalty/interest as per the Chennai Metro City Corporation Law Act 1919 and Sub-Act 138-t.
The Professional Tax for the first half of the financial year 2022-23 MUST be paid. Those who earn a monthly salary of up to Rs. 21000/- need not pay any Professional Tax.
This Professional Tax can be paid ONLINE without any Transaction Charges - website: www.chennaicorporation.gov.in
Greater Chennai Corporation has further informed that the citizens can visit the E-Service Centers in the respective Zones or wards and pay the Professional Tax.
