Good News for pensioners: An important announcement from the Department of Finance!

The Special Secretary of the Finance Department, Rita Harish has written a letter to the Commissioner of the Treasury and Accounts of the State Government of Tamil Nadu with the objective of creating an awareness of the services to be rendered to the pensioners!
In this letter, it is mentioned, “The State Government has granted permission to collect the data of the employees who will retire and become pensioners in July, August, and September. These pensioners may follow certain systems and select one of them as per their preference!
The pensioners can select any one of the options - Submission of TLC (Electronically generated total life care certificate), the Internet services of Jeevan Brahman, IPPP – house-to-house calling Indian Postal Bank Payment E-Pensioners’ Association Service of linking the fingerprint with Jeevan Brahman Internet Service, submission of proof of living by post, OR appearing in person for proof of life,
The State Government of Tamil Nadu has signed the Memorandum of Understanding in the IPPP Service. With this, services such as receiving the electronic proof of life certificate will be available to the pensioners on a house-to-house visit basis! To obtain the proof of l; life from the Website of Jeevan Brahman, permission has been granted to procure 200 biometric equipment.
In this situation, an order has been issued to all the district collectors to create awareness among all the pensioners regarding all the above-mentioned services!
Further, awareness camps must be organised on the above-mentioned services being available in all the local urban administration offices, circle offices, city Panchayat offices, and Social Community Halls.
In this regard, an order has been issued to all the District Officers to ensure uninterrupted internet services.
Public Relations Officers must be appointed in the District Treasuries and through him, the advertisements regarding house-to-house calls must be carried out in the social internet media, newspapers, etc.”
So, it is mentioned that all the District Collectors must undertake the responsibility of developing the execution plans.
