All schools and colleges are to reopen on 1st February in Tamil Nadu.
The State Government of Tamil Nadu has further announced that the night-time curfew is withdrawn from today (28th February).
There will not be 100% lockdown on coming Sunday (30th January).
Direct Classes will be conducted in all Schools for students from the 1st Standard to the 12th Standard.
Apart from the colleges which are presently functioning as Corona Treatment Centres, all other colleges will reopen from 1st February.
The night-time curfew is being withdrawn from 10.00 PM to 5.00 AM from 28th January.
There will be NO LOCKDOWN on Sunday, 30th January.
Continuing Restrictions
Ban on public gatherings for social, cultural, and political meetings/gatherings continue.
The local urban elections will be conducted as the guidelines released by the State Election Commission.
Crèches and nurseries for children will NOT BE ALLOWED,
Exhibitions and the art & cultural programmes organised by the government or private parties will not be permitted.
The prevailing restrictions on Hotels will continue.
Only 50% of customers will be allowed in hotels, hostels, bakeries, and kitchen messes.
A maximum of 100 guests will be allowed to participate on occasions such as weddings.
Only a maximum of 50 persons will be allowed to participate in death-related incidents.
Restrictions on cinema theatres will continue.
Only 50% of seats will be allowed to be occupied in the movie theatres.
Textile and Jewellery shops must ensure entertaining only 50% of customers in the shops!
Gyms and clubs will be permitted to function with 50% capacity.
Beauty parlours and hair-dressing saloons will be permitted to operate with 50% of customers.
The prevailing restrictions on the corona prevention measures will continue until 15th February.
Restriction until 15th February
Hotels, restaurants, bakeries, and kitchen messes will be allowed to function with 50% capacity.
Only 100 citizens will be allowed to participate on occasions such as weddings, etc.
Cinema theatre restriction will continue.
Only 50% of the spectators will be allowed in the cinema theatres.
Textile and Jewellery shops are to function only with 50% of customers.
In cultural entertainment centres and gymnasiums, only 50% of customers will be permitted.
Beauty Parlours and Hair-Dressing salons also function with 50% capacity.
Entertainment parks, etc., will be allowed to function with 50% capacity.
Colleges permitted
All Government and private Universities, Colleges, Industrial Training Institutes, and Training Centres will be a allowed to function from 1st February.
Seminars conducted in indoor halls, and entertainments such as music or drama will be allowed to perform with 50% of participants.
The Entertainment Parks and other children centres will be allowed to function with 50% capacity!
