TRB - Important information about TET exam in TN

From 2010 onwards, Teachers Recruitment Board or TRB has been conducting teacher’s eligibility examinations to select teachers for the classes1 to 8 in TN schools. This eligibility exam is given importance to select the teachers for the classes 1 to 8 in government as well as government aided schools in TN and only those who pass this examination would be selected to teach the students. It is said that for the upcoming generations teachers must have some eligibility. The teachers who get qualified in the examination would be given certificates is known.
This certificate is valid for just 7 years after which he or she would have to appear for eligibility examinations once again. There are also chances to extend this date for some time by re-assessment method. The TRB has announced an examination schedule for this year for the 9494 vacancies in various fields. In this year, the TRB eligibility examination would be held in the 2nd week of April month. The TRB has mentioned that for 1334 assistant professors vacancies or posts in the government arts colleges in TN, examination would take place in the first week of August month.
