Telephone numbers now given for complaints regarding rural local govt elections in TN

In two phases, rural local government elections for 9 districts in Tamil Nadu would be held on 6th October and on 9th October. From today onwards, candidature filing has started in Tamil Nadu.
The news is that the state election commission has announced the telephone numbers to lodge complaints regarding local elections. It is worthy to note that complaints related to rural local elections could be made to 1800 425 7072, 1800 425 7073 and 1800 425 7074. This was announced in the statement issued by the state election commission.
To receive any complaints regarding election activities, a complaint centre has been set up on the ground floor of the state election commissioner’s office. The complaint centre would function 24 hours a day even on all holidays. Formed in the year 1994, Tamil Nadu state election commission is an autonomous, Independent Constitutional and Statutory authority of TN and is involved in conducting all local body elections in TN.
