TV, telephone and internet services to be available in a single connection!!

The development of communication technology has been amazing in the last few years!!
It is well known that people watch TV, use mobiles plus the internet more now. It is now brought out by the TN government that the BharatNet project would be implemented with a financial assistance of RS 1815.31 crores. By this, it would be possible to have television, telephone and internet services in a single connection.
To provide high speed bandwidth, BharatNet project of the Central government would be connecting all the panchayats with fibre optical cable (Optical Fibre Cable). It is worthy to note that the Central government has allocated funds and has approved the implementation of this project at an estimated cost of Rs 1815.31 crores. Issuance of work order is important and it is mentioned that under this scheme from the date of issuance of work order glass fibre cable connection would be implemented in 128525 grama panchayats in as many as388 districts through 43004 km of high pole. There would also be a glass fibre cable connection of 6496km underground.
Important piece of information that has emerged is that in addition to the BharatNet a project known as TamilNet would be connecting all the municipalities, corporations and district headquarters through fibre optic cables. Three digital services such as TV, telephone and internet would be provided on a single connection by means of BharatNet system.
It must be noted that the TN government has stated in the policy statement of the IT department that there would be socio-economic development of various government based offices plus public institutions, schools, colleges etc by creating job opportunities in rural places using high speed bandwidth. It is well known that BharatNet is a project of national importance established in 2017 to provide affordable internet connectivity for all the households and on demand capacity to all institutions for realising the vision of Digital India.
