Madurai teachers to get national award

Three teachers from different schools in Madurai have been selected to receive National Awards that will be given by the President Pranab Mukherjee on September 5th which is Teacher’s Day. The three recipients are Headmaster of TVS Higher Secondary School in Lakshmipuram Mr. H. Kalyanasundaram, Vice Principal of Lakshmi School in Veerapanchan Ms. Shanthi Mohan and Headmistress of Mangayarkarasi Middle School at Maninagaram Ms. P.Geetha Saraswathi.
The award consists of a certificate of merit, a cash prize of Rs.25,000 and a silver medal. The teachers will visit Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on September 3rd.
