Singer Chinmayi’s Controversial Response

Singer Chinmayi has always shown a brave face in this patriarchal world. This time she’s relentless in her response to a doctor who claimed she had mental problems.
Even from the times of her controversies in the dubbing artists association or the #MeToo movement, she was not least bit shy to talk about the truth. This time around, there seems to be a controversy on a talk session that happened on the social networking site Club House.
A doctor named Dr.Aravind Raja claimed she was undergoing treatment for a mental condition and claimed to have known vital information regarding her treatment which was revealed by her psychiatrist. All this seems to be on the backdrop of the lyricist Vairamuthu- Chinmayi fiasco and the doctor did in support of Vairamuthu.
After the damage was done, the singer decided to take the legal route and lodge a complaint with the police. Meanwhile, Dr.Aravind Raja tried reaching her on phone but to no avail. He apparently got to reach her mother but Chinmayi has not accepted his apologies and will continue proceeding legally.
Venting her anger on Twitter, she says it is unbecoming of a doctor to go online and lie about someone, and ultimately, he is a stranger who doesn’t even know her. She has even communicated her complaints to the Tamil Nadu Medical Council along with proof and evidence of Dr.Aravind’s cyberbullying.
