Majority of people marry when they find a suitable partner. Marriages mostly get arranged by the parents. There are times when 2 persons fall in love with each other and get married. This is called love marriage. In both arranged as well as love marriages, some marriages go well till the end whereas others fail to last long.
There are signs that show that married life is not good.
Constant criticism:
One sign that reveals that the married life is not happy is when love and warmth get replaced by criticisms. Husband and wife criticise each other and this would lead to many fights.
No sexual relationship:
When the married life is happy, then the husband and wife would have a good sexual relationship between them. Unhappy married life is indicated by virtually non-existent sex life.
Being together is forced:
In a happy married life, the partners love to be with each other and they would enjoy every moment of being together. In an unhappy married life, they would feel as if they are being forced to be with each other.
No communication:
In an unhappy married life, both husband and wife would be in constant defensiveness and they would not be communicating well with each other.
Avoiding each other:
There would be no motivation to spend time together and the couples would try to avoid each other. This would indicate that the marriage is an unhappy one.

The married couple get fed up with each other and they stop arguing also at one point of time. This would show that the couple is unwilling to work through the things anymore.

The couples in an unhappy married life would try to spend or be with others company mostly. This shows that something is missing in the marriage and you are searching for relationships with others.
Having different agendas:
In an unhappy marriage, the partners would have different agendas. One partner might want children whereas the other one might not want it.
Feeling neglected:
In an unhappy married life, a partner might feel that he or she has been neglected by the other one. This is also an important sign.
