According to Mr. Illamaran, president of TN teachers Association, the state government has recently resumed schools for classes 9 to 12. He added that the schedule for the board examinations for classes 10, 11 and 12 has not been announced yet. According to Mr. D.C. Elangovan, secretary, federations of Associations of Private Schools in TN, announcing the exam schedule before would not only help the teachers to finish the truncated syllabus on correct time but it would also reduce the stress of the students.

The government of TN must give enough time for both teachers as well as students before conducting board examinations. This was mentioned by Mr. K.R. Nandhakumar, general secretary, TN Nursery, Primary, Matriculation, Higher Secondary and CBSE Schools Association.

He later explained about how the TN government has just recently reopened the schools and how difficult it would be to complete the portions in a short time. He concluded that the TN government must understand the problems teachers and students would face when the board exams were conducted soon. Student’s higher studies plan must also be taken into consideration.

Enrolment of the students appearing for the board exams have started now and it would go on till 18th of February. This was according to a senior officer belonging to the Directorate of Government Examinations.  It is now said that once the registration process gets over then the exam schedule would be announced by the TN government.
