More chances of getting Coronavirus infection from family members than from the outsiders says a research study

How would you react when you come across the news that getting Coronavirus infection from the family members would be more than from outsiders? Shocked right!!
Truth is some epidemiologists from South Korea have found that people would contract Coronavirus more from their family members rather from outsiders. Data was collected between the months of January and March (when the new coronavirus was spreading exponentially) by USA based CDC or Centre for Disease Control and Prevention.
As many as 5706 index patients who have tested positive for Coronavirus and 59,000 persons who came in contact with them were taken into consideration for the research purpose.
It was mentioned by the research findings that just 2 out of 100 persons have got the virus from non-household contacts. Fact is 1 in 10 has contacted the virus from their own family members.
It is brought out that when the first confirmed people were teens or people in 60s or 70s the infection rate inside the houses were higher. Information collected was that children aged 9 or below were least likely to be the index patient and kids affected by Coronavirus infection were more likely to be asymptomatic than adults. This made it harder to identify index cases.
