A lunar eclipse occurs when the earth comes between the Sun and the Moon.

The 1st Lunar Eclipse of the year 2020 occurred during the night on 10th January commencing at 10.37 PM, lasting 4 hours and 5 minutes, and concluding the next morning at 2.42 AM. People in India watched this lunar eclipse with their naked eyes throughout the country. This was labeled as the 1st Lunar Eclipse of the year 2020.

In this situation, the 2nd penumbral Lunar Eclipse is set to occur tomorrow (Saturday, 6th June) commencing at 11.15 PM tonight (Friday, 5th June) and lasting till early morning 2.34 AM the next day (Saturday, 6th June). The eclipse will last 3 hours and 18 minutes.

At the peak of the eclipse period, only the penumbral (shadow) of the Earth will fall on the Moon. Because of this, the Moon will appear in strawberry fruit color!

This eclipse can be physically seen in the continents of Asia, Europe, Australia, and Africa.

If the climate is clear, it is expected that this eclipse can be seen fully in India!
