For refunding train ticket amount, 20 centres opened now by southern railways in TN

Many persons have booked train tickets for their journey between 22nd March and 30th June 2020 without knowing that the trains would be cancelled due to the lock down. These persons could feel delighted now.
To fully refund their ticket fares, Southern Railways or SR has opened nearly 20 counters at Dr MGR Chennai Central, Chennai Egmore, Chennai Beach, Thirumaiilai, Mambalam, St Thomas Mount, Tambaram, Chengalpet, Tindivanam, Perambur, Avadi, Arakkonam, Tiruvallur, Ambur, Gudiyatham, Katpadi, Wallajah Road, Vaniyambadi and Jolarpettai railway stations.
Crowding at the counters would not be allowed and to prevent that the refunds would be given to the passengers in a staggered manner. From morning 10 am till evening 5pm these counters would be functioning. From 5th June 2020, refunds for journey up to 31st March 2020 would be carried out.
It was mentioned that for the rail journeys from 1st April to 14th April and from 15th April to 30th April the refunds would be processed from 12th June and 19th June respectively. In the same manner, for the rail journeys from 1st May to 15th may and from 16th May to 31st May the refunds would be processed from 26th June and 7th July respectively. For the trains cancelled from 1st June to 30th June, refunds would be from 10th July 2020.
Wearing face masks is compulsory at the counters and those without masks would not be allowed to get the refund amount. Information is refund amount could be collected up to a time of 6 months from the date of travel.
