More than 1500 kids below the age of 12 affected by Corona virus in TN

Corona virus has been affecting many persons in TN is known to us.
Not many would have known that in TN till now as many as 1506 kids have been affected by Corona virus issue. Shocking isnt it!!
On Thursday, 4th June 2020, the total number of positive cases reached 27,256 in Tamil Nadu. It is important to mention here that out of 1384 new positive cases reported on Thursday 69 were kids below the age of 12. Many government hospitals in Chennai have been getting lots of kids affected with Corona virus.
Point is Institute of Child Health or, ICH, Chennai had received about 117 cases of kids below 12 and most of them are asymptomatic. Just being in contact with Corona virus parents or persons has led to the kids getting affected with this infection. This hospital now has got as many as 25 kids below 12 affected with Covid-19 infection.
Director, ICH, Dr. Rama Chandramohan explained that most of the kids admitted got back to normal. These kids do not show common symptoms and other parameters are being observed. After a time of 6 months these parameters would be revealed.
It must be taken into account that the state of TN recorded 12,132 active Covid-19 cases of which 9066 active cases were in Chennai. In Tiruvallur, 44 cases were reported and in Chengalpet a total of 169 cases were reported.
A 16 year old girl had tested positive for Corona virus in Kodaikanal in TN. This was the first positive case that has been recorded in Kodaikanal.
