In Chennai, more than 4000 persons show flu like symptoms

As many as 4787 persons have been identified with flu like symptoms in various parts of Chennai. This was according to Chennai Corporation. Out of these 4787 persons, 693 persons would be tested for Covid-19. This was confirmed by the Chennai Corporation Commissioner Mr. G. Prakash.
In places where Covid-19 cases have been reported, the civic body has collected samples from 85 containment zones.. It must be noted that samples from as many as 4000 persons have been collected. There are 26 sample collection centres in Chennai and by Friday the results of most of these 4000 samples would be out. This was also mentioned by Mr. G. Prakash.
He explained about how as many as 160 establishments have been sealed for a time of 3 months because these establishments have violated social distancing norms and time restriction.
Mr. Prakash threw light on need for prevention of harassment of tenants by landlords. To access the condition in Chennai city, a meeting would be held on Friday. Strong instructions would be given to the landlords regarding collection of rents. The people belonging to the containment zones must cooperate.
