An amount of Rs 135 crores received by CM Relief Fund till now

For the purpose of Covid-19 relief, an amount of Rs 134.63 crores has been received under chief minister’s Public Relief Fund till now. It is now said that between 7th of April and 13th of April an amount of Rs 54.9 crores was received.
Point is till 6th April, the CM relief fund received Rs 79.74 crores and the TN Transport employees unions have contributed and amount of Rs 14.10 crores. Amount of Rs 5 crores each came from Atos Syntel Group and Hyundai.
Cholamandalam investments contributed an amount of Rs 3 crores and Chennai Super Kings (IPL Team) contributed Rs 1 crores towards CM relief fund. This was according to an official belonging to the finance department. Equipments are needed now to treat Corona virus affected persons and the amount would be used to purchase these equipments.
The official later brought to light how the companies were allowed to use their CSR or corporate social responsibility funds to donate towards CM Relief fund.
