Be careful, these foods could damage your teeth

It is often said that the use of tobacco products could lead to the damage of teeth. How many of us know that there are few foods that might cause more damage to our teeth than tobacco does?

These general foods that we consume daily could damage our teeth. A dentist must be consulted without fail when the teeth get damaged by consuming these foods. The food we consume would be bad due to the presence of bacteria in the mouth that burn sugars to thrive and the by-product is acid that dissolves enamels and leads to cavities.  

These foods could create damage to our teeth

Popcorn Intake:

Many eating popcorn without knowing that they might lead to teeth damage in us. The popcorn gets struck up between the teeth and would promote the growth of bacteria.

Soft Drinks Intake:

Sodas and sports drinks are bad for the teeth and we must be careful. Pint is diet sodas must be avoided. The sugar might not be there in diet sodas but it would have the acidity that would spoil the teeth.

Black Tea Intake:

Black tea intake could also lead to teeth damage in us. It is advised to drink water in between tea so that the staining of teeth is avoided in us.

Dried Fruits Intake:

The sugar content, as well as the stickiness nature of dry fruits, could damage the teeth. It is advised to have dry fruits along with the food because the saliva production that gets more while intake of food would make it easy to chew dry fruits.

Citrus Fruits Intake:

Citrus fruits like lemon, tomatoes could lead to tooth decay when consumed alone ads thy have acid present in them. It is said that we must rinse our mouth with water after the intake of these fruits to help the buffer the acid.
