MoU signed at GIM 2019 are doing superbly now

During the second edition of Global Investor’s Meet or GIM in the year 2019, around 304 MoU’s or memorandums of understanding across various sectors were signed. The news is around 59 MoU’s signed during this GIM 2091 are bearing fruits now and 209 deals are under various stages of implementation.
It is worth mentioning that out of 59 MoU’s that have fructified 18 MoU’s are in industries department, 36 in higher education, 4 in energy sector and 1 in IT sector.
Important point is the second edition of GIM with around 304 MoU’s signed had investments to tune of Rs 300,501 crores in various sectors were manufacturing, IT, energy, tourism, agriculture and education etc. Guidance Bureau Tamil Nadu is the nodal agency for bringing in investments into TN.
Just 36 projects out of total of 304 MoU’s haven’t commenced activities or in the process. This was as per the data of Guidance Bureau Tamil Nadu. Pint is out of 36 projects 14 are in industries segment, 16 are housing projects, the rest in energy, tourism and IT sectors etc. There are some projects in the pipeline due to gestation period. The government is actively following up on the MOU’s signed in the second and in the first investors meet.
