In Chennai city, 527 autos booked for overloading now

While traveling on the roads, it is essential that the vehicle drivers must follow the traffic rules without fail. This is mainly to prevent accidents from taking place. Many autos in Chennai do not obey the traffic rules.

It is well known that on 5th November 2019, traffic police had registered cases against 1275 auto-rickshaws for violating traffic norms and for overloading.

The point is as many as 112 autos were confiscated and action has been initiated to cancel their permits and driving licenses of the drivers for overloading. On Thursday, 21st November, these 112 autos were the part of 527 autos against which the cases were registered.

It is worth mentioning that the police have advised the parents to be alert and to prevent overloading of the autos. Many autos transport the kids to their schools now and it is said that such violations like overloading were widespread in these vehicles.
