Arokya Milk price up by Rs. 2

The price of Arokya milk sachet (1 litre) is up by Rs. 2. This may subsequently lead to other sellers increasing their prices as well. In a report released by the President of the Tamil Nadu Milk agents and Employees Welfare Association, Ponnusamy, it is mentioned:
The milk distribution company Hatsun, with Chennai as headquarters, has announced that it is increasing the price of the 1-liter milk sachet by Rs. 2 from Friday, 1st February. With this self-initiated decision by Hatsun, the Tamil Nadu Milk agents and Employees Welfare Association is upset and protested strongly against this.
As per the daily milk demand of 1.5 Crores litres of milk, the public has to depend upon the private milk producers for around 83.4% of the demand (1.25 Crores Litres).
This is because of the reason that Aavin caters to meet only 16.6% (25 Lakhs litres) of the daily demand of the Tamil Nadu public
Apart from this, most of the tea stalls (around 95%) buy only from the private suppliers. Thus, because of this sudden self-initiated decision, the prices of tea. Coffee and other milk-related products may go up.
So, we request Hatsun to review this unwarranted price increase which will unduly affect the public, especially the middle-class society, to withdraw the same immediately.
